New battery and alternator, cleaned grounds etc couldn't find anything visibly bad with wiring. It blows when I turn the ignition switch

You most likely have a short in the starting circuit .

Not sure if there are major differences in the pick up compared to the 4Runner I have the EWD for the 4Runner.

can be in the ignition switch

the clutch cancel switch or the clutch cancel start switch if it has one

starter relay if it has one

or the starter solenoid it`s self.

it could also be in any of the wiring in the circuit.

causing a short to ground

a loose connection in the fuse block causing it to arc to cause a current draw overload

You just need to take it one step at a time
