surco mounting
ok, today my surco crossbars arrived for my surco safari rack. they came with no hardware. i think i figured out how the ch100's mount to the bars, but its REALLY loose. how do i tighten it past where the washers that came with the ch100's allow?
I cant figure out how to get the bars on without having them slide left and right while on?
furthermore, what did people use to mount the rack to their bars? ive heard u-bolts, ive heard regular bolts, etc?
im a little confused on how the two will actually firmly attach and i find no pdf instructions online.
thanks.

just use u-bolts from the hardware store, and if you plan to carry anything heavy up there i'd recommend drilling out the stock mounting screws and using bolts. I ripped my roof-rack all the way off the truck using it as spare tire storage. Saying it has a 100lb capacity of static weight is not the same as storing something that heavy up there and subjecting it to the loads of offroading.
