A cat clamp and an alarm with a proximity sensor are probably your best (only?) defenses......

Has anyone priced out a NEW cat from Toyota?

I work for the Los Angeles Unified School Ditrict (LAUSD) and one of our elementary schools got hit big time......they just waltzed into the teacher's parking lot and made off with fifteen of them......in broad daylight! I figure they must have had a crew with cordless sawzalls or something. You think maybe they ought to crack down on the scrap yards that buy these things? I understand they're after the Platinum----------Hans

Biggest crime in Chicago last year from what I understand.
Hell you can sell them on eBay for like $50 a pop easy. All you have to do is cut off one end and list it as "junk". Take a look Im not kidding. people sell and buy used, junk, cut off cats!!! Its crazy!!!!
I had one off a Galant and got $80 from a scrapper.
(proly worth more yet. lol)
