Back when me and my Ex had an Isuzu - I would say the ARB bumper. the thing is really heavy and diminishes your approach angle... if you do some serious wheeling.

After everything I've read, it just seems that Bilsteins or the adjustable Rancho shocks would've been better suited.

I don't think that my truck is heavy enough for the rate of the 5000's. On top of that, they limit my flex :-(

Not so long ago, in my pre-yotatech days, I did something of tremendous ignorance. I decided that it would be a swell idea to weld my front differential. Boy, I learn alot the hard way I tell ya. So folks, take my advice, don't do like me on that one. I'll let you do your own research as to why.

I thought of something else. When I bought my truck it had 2" lift blocks on the back. Whilst the performance wasn't terrible, they didn't hold up off-road. Ended up breaking apart at just the wrong time. Cost me = Big. Alot more damage sustained than just the blocks themselves.

By biggest regret ever for an offroad vehicle was buying a lifted 22 year old Bronco II.

- Buying tube steps (now gone): they work great for stepping, but not so good for protection.
- Light bar that wraps around under bumper plastic: Hurts approach angle, plus I'll probably ditch it for a new bumper in a year or two.

And then there's the general regret of buying a brand new truck... While I love my Tacoma, I'd have been better off splitting the money in half, and buying a decent commuter car and an even better trail toy.

Oh yea, and then there's the old 2000 4Runner that I had for 3 years, then sold at my wife's request because it wasn't "family friendly" enough. Sold it, then two years later bought my truck. I'd have been just as happy with that old Runner, plus have more money to mod it.

On my old '93 it was everything I tried to get more power, but I just got my
'96 and it is pretty will set up(actually very well), So I will probably order some pink mud flaps or teddy bear rims to mess it up

Cranking the Tbars all the way up on my old chevy pickup just so I could clear 36s and then wheel the piss out of it.
Broke the front axles 3 times before I finally did a SAS.

But I guess if I hadent cranked 'em up and wheeled it I never would have done the SAS.

So I regret it but I also learned a lot from it.

On my old 2000 tacoma. I regret getting Total Chaos long travel. I was doing fine with the donahoes on it, but i had to have more. The cost was a ton, and that was a 50% off for everything including fox shocks and fiberglass etc because I was working for donahoe and friends with peeps in the industry.
The hastle of pulling each shock off and re valving it several times to get it right, trying several coil spring rates. The thing was so impracticle on the road. Front was wider than the rear so it was a pain to pick a line. Then I had to do the rear susp.... etc etc etc.
Best thing I ever did was get rid of it. Now the 4runner will get the mild treatment of bolt on parts and little mods here and there.
The anxiety that tacoma gave me was increadable. Dont get into something you cant afford...

(Just because this is the internet and people misunderstand things let me say that Total Chaos makes GREAT stuff. Nicole is great and a good friend. I regret it because I was biting off way more than I could chew at the time and it turned a daily driver into a pain to drive.)

Installing a rear lift shackle instead of an add-a-leaf to correct saggy-bottom syndrom(SBS). Now I have to go back and do it right.

I regret doing a 4" IFS lift. I should have just gone solid axle from the beginning.

I regret installing an Aussie Locker up front. The Aussie Locker works great, and is cheap, however after blowing up 2 birfields, I now wish I had saved up for an ARB.

Buying a 2WD 4Runner. Is was a great deal and I couldn't pass it up - I just wish I would have held out for a 4WD.
