first off i dont know if this is in the right spot but eh you will move it if it aint so.
anyway today i went to get into my truck box and my key wasnt on my ring where it always is, theres isnt anything to important in there just my tools and axe and fluids, do i drill it out and make a new lock with a pad lock or contact the company can they send a new one or wat????
its this box right here

I would pick the lock open and order a new lock mechanism from the company.
easiest way is to use an old wiper blade, pull the thin metal insert out and get the dremel tool to work making a rake and bend yourself a tension wrench.
those cheaper end pin tumbler locks can usually be opened in a few minutes or less.
here's a (long) link to a picture of some rakes and a tension wrench:

otherwise just drill it out

you can get an entirely new lock cilynder/keys for less than $10. go to an rv-parts store, they'll have them (locks like that come in standard-ish sizes, take the old lock in and match)
to get the old one out, yeah. pick it, drill it, whatever.

I have a lock smith near my place. He did some work for me. Basically, I had a Yakima hitch mounted bike rack that I had lost the key for. He make a new key for $7. That was for 2 keys... One from scratch!... And then copied the first.
