KC light question 150w vs. halogen

Heres the deal i got a free set of 30 year old KC daylighters from my uncle, 150w. One of the lights is good but the other burnt out.
I have to options for replacing the burnt out one

1. Buy another 150w bulb, but it won't be KC

2. Buy halogen conversion kit for a little more money and have 130W bulb

The guy at KC said the halogen last 10X longer?

What do u guys think?

I'd be willing to bet the 130W halogen is brighter than the 150W incandescent too.

Reflector and lens design has come a LONG way in 30 yrs - depending on how much the kit is, you might want to look at new lights.

IMHO, I will not have another set of lights with glass lenses on my truck. Just broken too many. Lightforce for me baby! (They're on sale at http://www.sierraexpeditions.com/ind.../id/4/subid/1/ )
