Im stumped by my cv axle clip
Hey guys, I could really use your help. I'm replacing the cv axles on my 91 4runner 4x4. I put the new one in and slid it through the spindle but its just barely not sticking through far enough for the c clip to snap on around the notch in the axle. When I was first pulling out the cv axle I didn't notice the c clip untill I saw it lying on the ground so maybe it was in there loose before. But I could really use someones help cause I've been stuck here by one stupid little clip since last night and I have to get my truck on the road for work tommarow morning.Thanks alot
PS If I just left the clip on the axle and didnt snap it in, would I risk breaking something or loosing control of my vehicle?

There should be a threaded hole in the end of the axle shaft. Try screwing a bolt into it and using the bolt to pull the shaft out while you install the clip.
