Got a letter in the mail from a local dealer. Buy back program?!
This has to be the oddest form of marketing/advertising I've seen yet. I got a letter with my name, address, etc... listing my make and model of Toyota and it made me feel all warm and fuzzy, it went on and on how my truck is so special and how now theres a shortage of them and they want to "buy it back", ie: they want me to trade it in on an '08. Weird. I know its all just b.s. but still.....and, if i wanted an 08 i would have gotten one. Anyways, it gives you a url and code which i entered once i went to the site and its just more b.s. asking for more personal info. Either way, don't know if anyone else got that but i thought it was clever and creepy at the same time!
Btw, this was a Toyota dealer I've never done business with before!

I work for a mailroom here in California, this is a trend a whole lot of dealerships are using to get you to "trade in" so you can spend more money on a new rig which they cant sell otherwise, cuz of the economy... I've sent out several from NJ to AZ.
There is no shortage of vehicles in America, c'mon, most stuff you get in the mail is just as good as the garbage you see on tv
