Fuel Lines

Okay i gotta question.
And i've searched the crap out of google.
Do i NEED to run hardlines for my carbed 22r im dropping into another vehicle?

Or can i run soft fuel injection line all the way to the gas tank?

Another question..
The 22R has a mechanical fuel pump, right?

If not, i would need to run a fuel pump..

fuel injection line is fine as long and you anchor it down so it doesn't move around as the mechanical fuel pump sucks the gas through. Kinda like how a soft brakes line moves, just not as much. FYI, from the fuel pump pickup to the hard like it's rubber hose and then from the hard like it becomes a soft hose again. Just remember you have a supply line and a return line from the fuel pump which is internally regulated by way of the return line. Although, you don't need the return line if your running a weber as the install instructions require you to block the return line off.

EDIT: I would also ensure that nothing is gonna cut the soft hose anywhere under the truck, so tuck it well.

Well i was going to de-smog my early 22r i pulled out of my 81. Maybe i should consider a weber as it seems the setup would be easier.
And i planned on running the soft line on the inside of the frame rails on my willys all the way to the back.

So, the aisin carb does have a mechanical fuel pump and i don't need to wire in a electric pump?

Now the next question is if a cj5 tank/pickup will work with the 22r lol.

no electric pump needed. although, the electric pump with an external regulator like a holley would work better for the weber setup.

couldn't help you with the heep stuff though. lol.
