Fixing Bad Paint Touch Up Job
I was able to give my 4runner a good hand washing outside today which is noteworthy being January in Iowa. However everytime I wash my truck I"m reminded of what a crappy job of using touch up paint I did this summer.
I had fixed some small area of rust with RustBullet and used Duplicolor that is a match for my vehicle to try and make it look nice.
On one fender the job is fine, on the other fender I have a run and a darker spot. On the tailgate it just does not blend quite right. I used a rubbing compound to try and blend but it didn't seem to help.
My quesiton is would wet sanding help? I searched a but couldn't get the info that I needed.
If I wet sand the areas what grit would I use? or would this be a waste of time as well.
Thanks for your input.

there is a product called "langka" that will flatten out blobs of touch up paint. ive used it w/ pretty good results.
i dont know if it will work on your since your paint seems to have been applied awhile ago, but give it a shot. www.langka.com.
