What-if's like this have me always playing out my Cribs fanacys...
Over my sholder would look like a sea of Toyota trucks. Double cabs, Diesels... Landcruiser 70 and 79 series...
"Aint nobody got this right here"
But as for what I have:
My 94 V6 AT 4WD 4Runner. SAS with coil spring. A NP242 adapted to the back of the A340 or AW4... Uh, Np242: That's H2, AWD, H4 and L4... 3.4 swap of course. somewhere around 35" tires and TRD fron and back with cable lockes.
My 86 RET 4Runner: Rancho arms... That's about it. I want it K.I.S.S so I can jump in it, get about 25mpg and drive it anywhere. CT25? Turbo... The Supra one. Supra AFM and big bore throttle body... and POSSIBLY convert it to NP242 as well and use the Taco front diff I have, or a custom Diamond that uses a High Pinion LC diff... (front high pinion TRD diff)
My 86 R151f RET: Put it on a frame, (currently IFS and suspensionless) preferably a SA frame to keep the lift as low as possible. All the Turbo goodies... TRD's front and rear.
My 3Fe Fj80 with the D side caved in: Either do a cab conversion or visit Aqualu and get a Fj-45 aluminum cab for it, flatbed the back. That's coil sprung f & r, 14k lbs rated tranny and a good'ol 3Fe. About as reliable as a gas LC can get...
And a Hughes 500D

Traction control's not bad IF you have the diffs (Torsen or TrueTracs) for it.
The H1 uses the Helical Ltd. slip/ Traction Control set-up and you see where it goes don't ya?
And 2001 4Runner's are AWD? How'd you mange that? A "Center diff" is an AWD transfer case ya know...

Traction control sucks when you like to have fun in a state with almost 7 months of winter.
