Cooling issues
I just completed my 5vze swap into a 95 4runner and passed the ref. Thanks to all who helped. My issue now is that I am losing coolant somewhere. I can't seem to find a leak, I have checked the coolant and oil to see if I'm losing it through a head gasket and that all looks good. I am wondering if I am losing it out of the overflow hose and it is not going into the overflow tank. My questions are 1) is this possible 2) how can I fix this 3) if this is not possible what else should I be looking for?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Did you replace the waterpump and thermostat before dropping the engine in?
Cracked overflow tank, faulty cap, pinhole leak in radiator or hose, loose hose...sometimes a mechanics mirror and a flashlight help spot things.

Yeah. I put in a new pump and thermostat. I'll check the rest of that stuff too. Radiator was brand new and I put it in after the motor went in. I hope that's not it.

Did you rebuild the top end?
Check between the firewall and the back of the engine as there is a water bypass tube that runs under the intake manifold assembly and if it is leaking you may see it leaking out at the back of the engine.
