Chilton repair manual verses their CD
I was at walmart today looking at their Chilton repair manuals for runners was wondering if the CD would contain more detailed information .I'm not sure they make a CD for 87-88 4 Runners but the book was there. They had CD for 4Rs a few years newer ,and it covered more model by far than the book ,and the price was about the same .Should I phone around for the CD or would the book be better ?

Both suck! Spend a few extra bucks and get a FSM aka Factory Service Manual.

Thanks for the advise ,The chilton book I stood looking at in Walmart is ok for what I need .I was just wondering if the CDs were better . I have found the FSM to be way to professional for me ..for instance my jimmy FSM says remove bolts and lower fuel tank .The chilton one explains that you pinch the gasline tabs together to release them and need snap ring pliers to remove sending unit ,also warns of the chance of breaking the sending unit outlet ports if you lower the tank to far .Not the FSM .It assumes were all professional ..
