4 cyl valve clatter

I'm shopping used 4cyl (2.4?) Highlanders for my daughter. Found a cream puff with about 29k miles. At idle with the hood open there is a noticable valve(s) ticking. Nothing pronounced but obvious.
From my experience higher millage 4cyls clatter but is this the norm for a fairly new 4cyl ?
Thanks

Maybe just time to get the valves adjusted? I don't know.

Hard to say. Is it low on oil?

You didn't mention what year, so we're just gonna guess -- "yeah, that's normal".
