Squishy!

Has anyone tried this? The cost difference is the big margin for my 3.4 swap. I won't have to buy a flywheel and the 3.0 stuff is cheaper...

IIRC the 3.4 flywheel is heavier and balanced different. Weight reduction might be a good thing, but if it is balanced different it could really screw with the engine.

I heard that folks have used the 3.0 flywheel instead of the 3.4. I personally used a 3.4 cause it what I had. As for the balance of it I have no idea.

Losing mass of the flywheel on a 4x4 truck where low rpm torque is required is not a good thing.

well.. i know I found that info in the 3.4 swap section. But there are people who use the 3.0 flywheel and get a performance clutch for it and its fine for them. I'd rather have the 3.4 fly wheel because it has a bigger surface area as i recall.

Been running the 3.0 flywheel on mine for a year now, seems to work fine...
