22re auto to 3.0 V6 5 speed
so i am planning on swapping my auto for a 5 speed and i have a chance on a killer deal for a 5 speed and t case from the 3.0 V6 but i have a 22re in my truck. will it bolt right up just like the w56 tranny? will i need an adaptor?
any advise will help
thanks

Nope. You need to find a bellhousing from a turbo R151F tranny. That bellhousing bolts to the 22RE on the engine side, and an R-series tranny (R150F/R151F/R154, etc) on the other side. Just be aware that those are as hard to find as the turbo transmissions. BTW I have one that I have for sale if I don't use it on my 87 auto truck. You got a killer deal on the R150F tranny and case since while the R-series transmissions are strong, no one wants them because the attached transfercase is a chaindrive unit.
