Rear wheel bearing loose in backing plate.
I just got done pressing in my rear wheel bearings and retaining ring, but I think I have a problem. One of bearings pressed in easier than the other, but I didn't think to much about it because I have a press and both retaining rings pressed on all the way and nice and straight, but I noticed that one of the bearings moves inside the bore on the backing plate. Then I tried the other axle and I could make that one move in the backing plate by hitting it a bit on the ground. How tight should the bearings be pressed into the backing plate? The retaining rings are pressed down all the way, but that wouldn't make any difference to the backing plate moving. Do I have a big problem?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

The truck is a 1983 4x4.
The bearings that came out were marked "BCA 308x4" and looking on google the dimensions of that are 40x90x23.
The new bearing is a 6308 and when checked the dimensions came out the same as the BCA.
The bearing presses in all the way to the bottom of the bore, but with a quick push on the backing plate (with the lugs on the floor) the backing plate moves towards the floor. Could it be possible that I have a slightly oversized bore in the backing plate from someone driving with a really crapped out bearing? The inner surface was nice and smooth and didn't show any obvious signs of damage. Or is this not really a problem, because when the wheel is torqued down the backing plate will not be able to move?
Thanks for the help and sorry for leaving out important information.
