Hello, new to yota tech!
So i got a 96 4runner sr5 4x4 for 1300 bucks and its clean minus some front end fender bender damage and this annoying misfire.
it randomly blinks at me and only seems to miss around low idles. Like when im coming to a stop and when im taking off.
So i changed the plugs to ngk double grounded plugs? I think they are called that. The oem ones. Didnt change the code. it came back.
Then changed the coil with an OEM one and cleared the code and ran good for 5-10 minutes of driving then code came back just like before.
Changed plug wires and did same exact thing...code came back.
Would my next step be Fuel injectors?
Im doing this at my house on limited funds (thank god for oem parts on ebay)
so i dont have an voltmeter/ohmmeter but what would you guys recommend?

All the parts you installed were new??

How did the plugs look you took out??



All good connections and clean and tight.

Could be a bad injector

Thanks for the info! I took it to my buddies shop so he could do a leak down test and compression test and it was an injector ! My 3rd cylinder injector was at 175 ohms while the others were at 15 ohms so I bought a denso injector and will be installing it when I get it!
