overheating 3vze

i replaced a heater hose -drove for a week and i started over heating.iburped the system and it seemed ok but rad was just blowing out steam bigtime . changed thermostat. still nothing. was told i probably blew a head gasket. pulled the plugs and none of them are really clean. no water in oil or white smoke. what do you think??? lost !!! ps. it did overheat when i originally changed the hose but i didn't drive very far.

Was it overheating before you changed the hose?

Sounds like you still have air in the system. The 3VZ in one of the hardeset engines to properly burp. Try taking that heater hose back off while you fill it, then quickly reattach it. That will allow most of the air to burp out, then fill it slow. It also helps to be parked on an incline.
