thanks BigBluePile...

some people may not like this set up...because its more for show...but i like to take things like this and make um work just as good as others do...(be a prolbem solver...)
the prolbem is that theres not enough spring load on the tire that droops...well come up with a sloution that will fix that...come on guys you guys can do anything...

Hmmmm, well, you could put a Zuk mod spring setup in there. That would push the tire down I suppose...

Of course, by the time you do that, you could have built a real 4 link setup...

Hahaha dirty hooker flex!! I've recently gained dirty hooker flex and I can say that my off-road capability has increased quite a bit with it. Maybe it just feels that way since everything is so much smoother now that I seem to always have 2 rear tires on the ground. My coils aren't long enough and my springs are loose at full droop so I know my dirty hooker flex is useless at that point and I probably need limit straps back there now, but it feels more stable.

Dirty hooker flex:

Loose spring, shock boot unhooked, it's a mess:

I've even got the upper control arm contacting the gas tank:

For a ~4" lift. Probably an inch or two longer than I need, but they work great and for the price I couldn't pass them up.

You know bottoming out a shock is BAD, right?

My guess is the compressed length is about, oh, 4" too long ...

:SIGH:

It's actually only about 2" longer compressed than stock and still tucks my tire far into the wheel well. It's not written in stone that you have to run a "4in shock" with a "4in suspension lift" plus they do make extended bump stops ya know?

I'm planning on getting OME springs real soon so it would be dumb to buy "stock lift" shocks.

Missing link set up's work just fine and kill it on the trail, I see it on Sami's all the time and I see it on YJ's all the time. Not everyone needs to have a ME TOO set up, go for it and do it, no reason it shouldn't work, and for those who wonder what I mean by me too set up is, I mean doing the same thing over and over again which believe me there is nothing wrong with, but dont bash the guy for trying to be different with a function idea, I can see if it was something stupid, I have seen plenty of worse solid axle build ups floating around here, and I'm aware its an old post I'm just putting it out there for anyone researching
