Looking for good inexpensive headers.
Ok so I recently purchases a 1988 Toyota 4runner with a 3.0 engine 4x4. Now I am looking to buy some hearders, a ran into Doug thorley headers but they are a little out of my budget. Also ran into a company called Downey manufacturing but they went out of business. That was my second choice after doing some inverstigating. Then I found pacesetters but not sure how good that company is. Any good suggestions?

Good and inexpensive are terms that are mutually exclusive in a product. In other words, you can't have one with the other, especially in a header.
There are tons of threads on pace setter headers...but I will cut you some slack since it's your first post. They suck! The flange is too thin and will warp and you will end up with a exhaust leak that you will never be able to fix.

My exhaust guy swears by the OBX he recommended them to me when I was thinking about getting headers, I myself would like to see how good they are
Let us know what you end up with.

i have had the obx headers on my truck for over a year and a half. over 10k miles, can't be beat for the money imo.
if you compare them to the thorleys, 3.4 in my case, which are considered to be the best, they look almost identical.

no leaks, no problems whatsoever, fits perfect. of course i installed these with my engine swap. and i made a custom crossover underneath instead of the troublesome above the bellhousing stock setup. you can listen on the video in my sig, still sounds the same.
i am a believer in hi temp silicone only, instead of gaskets on headers, in this case i used the oem toyota manifold gaskets with hi temp sealer, because they were steel instead of gasket material like came with the headers.
@ sergio i have heard over and over the horror stories about removing the stock crossover. thats one reason i wanted a crossover pipe under instead of over. i have six bolts at three flanges to remove my crossover.

No pricing though. Considering it since even a crossover delete with stock manafolds is a big job and wont pass visual......i hate ca smog, gonna reg it in needles if i go headers
