How to Re-Add PCV System
Hey y'all,
First time posting here. Got my first 22RE (an 89 Pick Up RWD AT). I got it because I wanted to learn how to work on vehicles. Did not know what I was getting myself into...anyone in Middle TN that wants to come help me sometime? lol. I will pay in beer.
Anyway, the guy I bought it from did a full EGR Delete which I did not realize when I bought it (because I knew nothing). Well, I don't like this, the PCV Valve spews oil fumes, it is stinky and stupid.
Is there any documentation or resources on reconnecting the PCV System? I know that I need to connect a Vaccum hose to the intake but I don't want to miss any critical hoses.
If you can help, it is much appreciated!

I’m sure someone has a diagram but I can get pics of mine as needed if it will help, mine has always been stock and untouched. You may post some pics of stuff just to give us an idea of what the PO did, I have seen some pretty interesting deletes over the years.
We also have a bunch of threads of members asking questions about the EGR delete, you may find some info there too

I can try to get some pictures tomorrow. Essentially he removed all the vacuum lines that go over the valve cover. Both the PCV valve and the other PCV-related holes on the valve cover have breathers. The intake lines have all been plugged into the intake.
I think what I want to do at first is just reconnect the PCV Hoses. Would just adding the two without the rest cause any issues?

Here's some diagrams that should help.
One cool thing toyota did was label some things. look at the three ports on the throttle body, they each have letters next to them. Now look at the modulator valve ports and you'll find the same letters
