Highsteer clearence question
Hi, everyone. This is my first post, I have been coming here for a long time to do research,
so you all have been very helpful already, and I've got something I'd like your input on.
So, my SAS is done, sort of.
I just have low steer crossover steering for now.
I have the typical problem most people have with the V6: oil pan clearence.
Here's what i've got:
Hanger kit from TG 3/4" forward
Near vertical shackle angle
3" springs
and I want to avoid relocating the hanger cause I would have to:
re-tube my shackle mounts too to avoid negative shackle angle
would also have to relocate steering box if axle goes forward more.
I know, could have, should have, would have done all that already, but was trying to avoid it with a home brew lowsteer cross over steering,
but I need something better.
I don't need a great deal of up-travel, bump stops are my friend.
So, exactly what oil pan will give me the most clearence?

You need a oil pan out of a 3.0L 2wd T100 along with that you will need the baffle plate or mod yours, pickup tube, new gasket for the tube, dipstick and tube. I just did this swap on my 4runner with SAS.

Thanks,
I was wondering if I would be able to use the original pickup (relocated or something?) or grab that at the same time. I hadn't even thought about baffle plates, (haven't dropped my pan or anything yet.) Thanks for the info, I really appreciate it.
Off to pick'n'pull!
