Help! Problems installing OME lift front struts...
I purchased an Old Man Emu (OME) lift for my 1997 4runner and managed to get the rears installed, but am running into a problem with the front struts. Basically, I can't figure out how to get the strut assembly bolted back in place because of the extra few inches added by the lift kit (see pix). I am going to try to use the crappy compressor to compress the coils on both sides before installing (but I doubt that will work because having the compressor on both sides will make it so that the assembly can't fit). I would really appreciate some ideas / suggestions.

Take the stock bottle jack and turn it upside down. Place the base somewhere on the inner fender well and place the top on the upper ball joint bolt.
Crank it downwards.
Crank it downwards.

Thanks for the quick reply scuba. I'm a truck noob, so can you add more details / diagram? What is the "stock bottle jack" (is this simply the car jack)? What is considered the inner fender well and where is the upper ball joint bolt you're referring to? Finally, what am I trying to achieve by cranking it downwards? TIA.

same issue fitting ome front struts into 3rd gen t4r
having the same issue with my 2000 4runner, tried using the bottle back to push the upper control arm, no luck after jacking it down around 3". tried to jack to base of the strut up at the same time to slide it into the correct position, no luck. tried using the same crappy spring compressor to get some slack and even with just one its too big. its not supposed to be this difficult right?
