Gas leaking out the exhaust!

Hi, I just replaced my valve head gaskets and the slave cylinder in my '88 4runner. V6 3.0 4wd. Upon starting it up for the first time it seems like there is a terrible miss. The entire truck shakes from left to right. I noticed a strong gas smell and found that there was fuel actually leaking out of the exhaust pipe, and quite a bit of it. I pulled the plugs and found three of them really saturated. The only thing that seems like it could be is the Solenoid Resistor i found on the inside of the passenger side fender. So far I have checked the plug wires, cold start injector, and plugs which are all good... any help would be great, thanks!

Fuel leaking out of the exhaust is highly unlikely but if you think that's the case, I wouldn't try to start it for a while.

Yeah its definitley gas. And lots of it. My auto teacher is stumped too. He hasnt ever seen anything to this extent. Plugs on cylinders 2,4,5 were all really wet. The others seemed fine. I also noticed gas had puddled up underneath the engine on the ground. Our thoughts are that it seems that those injectors must be stuck open dumping loads of fuel into the engine. And one more thing, a week ago the truck purred like it was brand new no issues like this at all. Thanks, Joe.

well if it is missing firing it will cause the gas to be pushed out the exhaust.... check timing and ignition and replace plugs.... sure its all gas maybe mixed with coolant and you may have head gasket probs..... computer may be adding too much fuel causing it to flood.... does it have a engine light? computer may be trying to run truck rich...

Sounds like you are on the right path with the injectors being stuck open!
I would suggest bench testing them to see what is going on.
Check the FSM for the procedure

Hmm. I think I may have this one solved... I should be able to let you all know sometime tomorrow. Looks like a vacuum and gas line were swapped which would be quite the relief. I took off the intake hose and out of the throttle body came more gas. We started to check all the vacuum lines and found two of them wet. Hopefully I'll be able to get the connections right this time and get it out on the road. Thanks for any help you've given.
