e-brake cable

I am replacing my E-Brake cable due to the fact my buddy pulled to hard and it broke. My question to everyone is how do you get the back half of the cable disconnected from the truck? I have the new cable in through the fire-wall, I just cannot get the rest of the old one out to fully install the new cable.

I do think there are a few places where it attaches to the frame.

I just cut the old one and attached the new one with cable ties .

The back end I think once the front is loose or there is no tension just pops out when you get the cable lined with the slot this is right in front of the gas tank .

Kroil PB Blaster etc soak repeat as needed once you get it free which could take awhile.

Needle nose pliers being careful not to burr it up to try and work it free.

It should come out .

worse case cut the cable remove the arm and drill the pin out.

Good luck you gotta love the salt belt!!
