Basic Lift. missing anything?

im new to this whole truck/suv world. i have also been a car guy so i dont know much about lifts. just lowering things lol

i have a 1988 4Runner SR5 4x4 V6 automatic (fully loaded)

thinking of doing a 1-2inch lift on it
so far from what i have read on this site. i should get

1-2 inch BJ spacers for up front
longer shackles in the rear but what size do i need to be even with the front

do i need anything else? thanks for the help

You can buy shackles at Autozone and they have three different sets of holes so you can easily change height by changing which hole they are in, and thereby length of the shackle.

really?? that will come in handly thanks.

that is the where im gonna get my BJ spacer from
i dont want a body lift because i have a automatic and dont really need or like body lifts when suspension lift is much better.

i wasnt sure what size shackles i need since i read here, someone said u need 2inch shackles for 1inch lift.

figure i could get a quick run down on what is need. im not new to forums and its so much easier if someone just throw out what i need and or missing.

ps: this is not my DD. it will be going at aleast 60+ for like an hour to get to the mountians, after that it will be in 4x4 going slow.
