If this was posted in the Newbie section...
Besides, his specific questions are covered on here LOTS.

Also, his OP did seem suspicious due to recent posts from spammers that had the same run on babbling about random stuff that's easily accessible thru SIMPLE searching.

Indeed, I've owned my truck for over TEN years and have done extensive R&D to make sure thats what I want to do. Hell, I still don't like it...

Agreed, Yotatech is a well rounded worldly site that brings lots of talent, experience and adventures to old and new. However, they're are posting rules that all of us "have read."

Again, to the OP,

Welcome to Yotatech!!

Enjoy your project, no matter what you do to it! Pics or it didn't happen!!!

I mean, every once in a while I'll purposely spell things wrong, or throw crazy words in there, but I try to stay away from the run-ons and fragments, so my questions and responces make as much sence as possible... or as much as my IQ is worth anyhow

does it matter how he writes in here? lol he just wants help. Hey kid ( OP ) if you got 6 grand to put into it SPEND WISLY, the reason i say that is cuz you dont want to throw money are your truck, and later when you have NO money find out something is WRONG and cant fix it. MY suggestion is first look into the engine, if it runs out strong then great but id rebuild it personally, and if the process of rebuild throw a cam in it maybe bigger injectores. THEN look into the tranny tcase and diffs. then go for the lift and tires. OH AND SAS. lol with 6 grand you prob can do alllll that and still have money left over if you SHOP and SPEND wisly hahaha GOOD LUCK im here to help if you need.

well it does help if you use pnctuation and spelling or you get one long sentence and you cant tell the list of things he is asking about if you want good answers then a well phrased question is the way to go we all understand he is excited hell i get giddy about buying parts for my rig but if you are about to break into a seizure from trying to read the question then it will be harder to get a good answer also noone turned him towards the post about whats the best places to spend money when you first get your rig they just started throwing out diff answers bc it was the bit or piece of the post they remembered.

https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f120...mation-121264/

That should be a good place to start reading. ocdropzone also has another good thread of different options of upgrades as well. Happy reading!

did you spell responses wrong on purpose??

here's some good locker info:

https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f31/locker-faq-43572/

and some good lift info:

http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/ForSale/BodyLiftKit.shtml

i would recommend reading through 4crawlers site...i have been for almost a year and still have just barely brushed the surface. also, as has been stated, the search button is your new best friend. i've also found that typing "yotatech" then your question into google works pretty well. maybe someone can link to a "how to search" thread that i haven't been able to find, because i still don't know how to search...what a predicament. oh, and...

AH GOOOD POINT i was merely just saying that cuz its annoying to be corrected sometimes BUT Then again to use the right punctuation will allow the readers to understand better. I dont use correct PUNCT. all the time, but thats not cuz i am bad at reading or writing or dont know proper english or anything of the sort its just cuz i do. its a bad habit. Such as my writing here! hahaha SORRY

classic. I know it's not supposed to be a spelling debate. "help me, help you" - Jerry Maguire.

Proper punctuation is the difference between "I help my uncle jack off a horse," and "I helped my uncle, Jack, off a horse."

I didn't mean to throw this thread way off-topic, so I apologize.

looks like IFS. I heard you can lift it by cranking your torsion bars...dont know how that's done.

bumper either looks like it's from wabfab, marlincrawler, or addicted offroad.

i dont mean to sound mean, but if you cant tell the difference between a SFA and IFS by lookin at a head on picture, then you have much to learn young grasshopper. some sites to check out, marlincrawler.com, trail-gear.com, allprooffroad.com, wab-fab.com and so on. i fyou dont have the tools/kno how or dont know anyone that can do a SAS, labor will cost you quite a bit. i say put you some ball joint spacers(search), longer shakles or AALs, body lift, 33s, locked F&R, 4.88s, sliders, bumpers and a winch then if you have any money left put it in the bank and save it

If your going to build your 4Runner, the best advice i can give you is this, you get what you pay for, don`t buy cheap parts thinking your getting a good deal, because in most cases your not. I have around 8000 - 10.000 into my 86 4Runner and its almost done. Sure, i could have built it cheaper but i didn`t want to have to rebuild it a few years down the road.
