84 4runner fuel fuse?!
Hey guys,
So I just bought a 1984 4runner that had been sitting for 4 years. I like tinkering with things I don't understand, so here I am=d
I just changed the battery, and I still need to drain the old fuel, but I just wanted to see if it'll crank. Well it didn't. So I look in the fuse box and the 60A fuel fuse is blown... what the hell is a fuel fuse? I plug in a new fuse, and as soon as it touches it lights up like a christmas tree and burns. So there's a short..but I don't know where I should look?
also when I cranked, there used to be a click & whirlling noise but now there isn't. I don't know if the starter is now dead and creating this short, or is this "fuel fuse" preventing the start from working.
any help/thoughts would be appreciated, thanks~Steve
