4runner/Tacoma and Tundra Bilstein 5100 shock Valving
Hi Everyone,
Just thought I'd share a tidbit of info I managed to get out of Bilstein.
The valving and length numbers on the 5100 series shocks are as follows:
Tacoma Reb 228, Comp 73, Ext 473, Comp 352 (4.76" travel)
Tundra Reb 303, Comp 96, Ext 474, Comp 335 (5.47" travel)
Hope that helps a bit for comparison. I just put the Tundra ones on my 98 4runner and they aren't stiff at all, I do have an ARB bumper though and a winch on the front mind you. I guess that means the tacoma/4runner ones might be too soft if you have the same setup.
