3vze no fuel issue???
Hey guys sorry to ask but im new to these trucks...I have an 89 chassis with an 92 3vze swap from a 4 runner...it seems like its not getting fuel and i think it may be the people before me hacking up the injector wiring. It also has an auto ecu but they used the 22r 5 speed. I have seen a few harnesses and ecus on here for sale, which year harnesses and ecus are interchangeable. I should be looking for one to match the motor correct, not the truck? Any other reasons it may not be getting fuel? It will crank but not run although it ran for a few seconds when we sprayed starter fluid in it. I replaced the fuel pump, tank, and filter, it wasn't coming on before but now it is. I have searched but cant find info on a 3v swap so i can try and back track to see if theres something they may have missed.Any help is greatly appreciated i just wanna get this thing running and have some fun with it.

Might be the AFM is not keeping the fuel pump running. You could either test that:

Or try the fuel pump test jumper:

I tried the fuel pump test jumper in the diag port, but not since the new pump. ill try it again tomorrow, im also gonna try and borrow my friends secondary coil off his 4 runner to switch and see if it makes a differance.

i just swapped one inmy truck and had the exact same problem.turned out that the injectors were not getting any power to them.there was a plug coming out of the wiring harness by the diagnostic port that didnt have anything to plug into soldered the wires together and fired right up.
