2nd gen low oil pressure
Im not sure if this is in the right section. If not can you point me there. My 4 runner has been running quite rough, and burning through a lot of oil the past few weeks. if I open the hood while the engine is running and i give it some juice, i notice a lot of smoke come out of the intake plenum area on the passenger side. anyone have any insight on to what is going on.
it also has a VERY low oil pressure, and after start up it idles at about 500rpm. and my fuel milage has gone for the s too! about 100km less than usual!
thanks you

what's the specs n the vehicle? year, motor etc
without knowing that.................
sounds like either the oil filter is incorrectly installed and leaking (which will certainly kill oil pressure) also could possibly be oil pressure sending unit.
be alot easier to help with all the info tho

whitish smoke or bluish oil burning smoke?
either way it is not going to be great news so prepare yourself....
sure hoping someone just spilled some oil at change time....
the 22Re always seems to have low oil pressure-that in itself is not an issue. Put a digital gauge on it if you want to keep a more precise eye on it. Compare that to the factory specs.
