New Dash Pad

Tried searching nothing came up except dash caps.
I am looking for a new grey dash pad. Mine has five cracks that are spreading. I have been buying ll of my parts from the dealer. Is there a beter place to get OEM parts?

Join the club my friend!!!! From my searches you are pretty limited to hunting one from the junk yard, I tried the dealer and had a heart attack from the price 700 bucks new. I did find one but it took a while. Most have cracked and the one that I found was either garaged or not facing the sun wherever it sat from the previous owner. Where are you located??

Check this place. http://www.toyota-parts-dealer.com/
My truck is a 94 and has the 2 piece dash. I needed the smaller piece as it was cracked. They took my VIN # and made sure to get me the right color. Interior on mine is blue. I've bought quite a bit of OEM stuff from these guys. Prices are not too bad on some stuff, but then again, some of it is HIGH!

By the way - if you do a search for a dash on that site, you won't come up with much. You gotta search for "crash pad" for the dash. Like in my case - the smaller piece of the dash is referred to as the cluster visor.

It took me 1 whole year for an uncracked dash pad to show up in my local pick and pull. I ended up swapping the entire dash for $38.

Good luck!

Now my 2003 dash is getting cracked. Toyota can make a motor that will run for 18+ years with NOT a single problem but the dash lasts less than 8 years. Come on!

My '90 dash is in perfect shape. Keep a UV protectant like ArmorAll on it at all times and it will last damn near forever.

Good luck on that one! I checked on the site that I linked in a previous post - that's an expensive part! Almost $900 new

Looked at some of your other posts - I'm guessing you're looking for the dash pad for a 90 pickup? It's $464.15 on the site I posted up. Proud of 'em, ain't they?

They are pretty pricey. I was hoping it would be cheaper. I guess I am going to have to keep my eyes open for a grey dash pad. The salvage yards are pretty thin in San Antonio.

I have tried using the vinyl repair kits and not much luck with them. What I do is mix up some bondo and while it is in a cheese like state, straddle the crack with a razor and slice the excess off.

You can got to a parts store and have them to mix up a factory color for your truck. You may have to take a sample to them to get a good mix.

Not the most high tech, but it is not such as eye sore and makes it less noticeable. On hairline cracks it works great and I cant even find some of the cracks I have done in the past. Other then finding a good one, you are just about limited to a dash cap.

I have done this on my 88 build and my current 86 build.

I have a near mint Dash Pad from a 1987 4x4 pickup. (vents not included)

$125 + shipping, firm on price.
(no cracks on front or top. There are 2 tiny hairline cracks on the back edge. Right in front of my thumb in pic and the other one as about 6" to the right. )
Here in Ohio our interiors stay minty but the frames rot through. This truck only had 137k mi and the frame was like stabbing cardboard with a screwdriver.

I also have a nice brown dash pad too.

PM me if interested!
