Noise on 03 4runner

Question??...Has anyone been experiencing a noise from the back suspension on the 03 4runner...kinda metalic on SOME dips in the road..Don't know if this means anything or not but it's mostly when it's very cold ..seems to go away when it warms a bit..

I haven't any problems on mine. The only thing I have is a rattle that I think that is coming from the cargo cover.

Maybe your spare tire is loose, or the jack is jiggling around?

I took everything out..jack...tools - cover etc...tightened the wheel underneath...ans still heard it...drove with the rear seats folded down..every possible thing which I thought would make a noise was taken out..still got the noise..
I was checking the rear window and noticed the weatherstripping seems to be coming apart...maybe it's the glass..

You did take the cover out, I was hoping that was it.

Yes I did take the cover out...I just made an appointment with the dealer..they suspect the rattle is from the mooon/sun roof headliner and will be working on fixing it this coming monday...He said there was a TSB out on it..

Yeah I've been hearing the same noise from the back. I have an ' 04 and I've heard it for about the last 2 months. I too have removed everything back there and still have the noise. It only happens on some dips, sometimes with the left, some with right, and some when both sides dip. I haven't gotten around to seeing the dealer yet, but it is driving me nuts. What is a TSB? Please post your findings after the dealer takes a look at it and whether it went away with any work they did.

I already had the sunroof issue corrected, so I am not getting that noise anymore. I'll have to take mine to the dealer for some other stuff, so I'll have them look at it. The problem is, it won't happen when they check it out.

I left the truck for a day with the dealer..says they are unable to hear the noise SO it's still there..when it gets warm I'll take a look myself..

Thanks for getting back about that. I'm going to get that checked out in April when I have more time off from work. I'll make sure they get in the car with me. I'll repost when I do that. Thanks!

NOISES? RATTLES? HAH! My 97 rattles like a bucket of pennies! I could have sworn it was silent on the test drive!

Maybe it's my subs and the fat bumps I take.
