4th Gen w/ 33x12.5's

Hey all-

Just got home and finished the final stages of my lift. Most of you know I threw on the RevTek 3" lift a week or two ago. Put some Pro Comp Mud Terrain 33x12.5R17's on tonight, and with the removal of the front mudflaps, and trimming off the lower "cups" on the front side of the wheel well, the tires fit no prob. The right side actually barely rubbed the mudflap, while the left side rubbed both the flap and plastic cup slightly. Added the PP air bags in the rear that sit within the coils, and the final measurements are 38.5" from the ground to bottom of the fender in the front, and 40" in the rear. I'll get some pics up tomorrow. Also, I think it was Momo that was wanting some info on how I made the Tacoma skid plate work...I have some pics and info for you. Just thought you all would like to see some assurance that 33's will fit just fine with the 3" RevTek. Talk to ya all tomorrow. Peace.

Billy

Pictures...

Here come all the pics...first two are for you, Momo. Pretty self explanitory...and yes, that is the same rubber stopper shown in the pic that is on the plate...just looks a lot different compressed. I'm sure there are many other ways to do this, just one way to approach it for about $3. Enjoy...

That should do it for a while

Well-

Hope I was able to provide you with some helpful info. The 33's actually don't look that big, and with my offset on the 17x8.5's, they barely stick out too, which is nice. The PP air bags are for an 02 runner, but worked fine. Just gotta trim the bum stops a little and slid em in...20 min install, and supposedly good for 2-3000 lbs. Gives me almost 5 inches of adjustable travel in the rear and really stiffens it up...exactly what I was looking for. If you take your time when trimming, you'll never even know the cups existed in the first place. I would almost guarantee that with a 2" body lift, you could get 35's if you wanted. The front spacer actually adds over 3" inches once installed. For $82 the air bags are a steal. I don't know much about Pro Comp Mud Terrains, but they seem to be a good tire??? Ride is pretty smooth, and traction is great...a little noisy though. What do you guys think? I like the fact that they are eight ply...news to me. Not a lot of options on a good all terrain/offraod tire for 17's, thought it is getting better by the day. Hope this was at least informative. I'm all ears.

And thanks Momo, let me know if you have any further ??'s. I'm sure you could just use some rubber bushings as spacers too.

Thanks guys.

Billy
