All my tires are between 30 and 32 PSI including the spare yet my low tire pressure warning light stays on. 6+ months ago it would come on here and there but now it is on most of the time. Does anyone have a home reset procedure for this or is the dealer the only way to go? I am off on a road trip on Friday and I don't really want to stare at the light being on all the time......

most vehicles that come with air sensors have reset procedure in the owners manual. i would check there first. try looking under tires or tire pressure, something to that effect.

try making sure all are set to 32 psi, but one would think 30 would be good enough not to trigger it.

i had that happen when i punctured my sidewall and had to slap on the spare. somehow the spare triggered the light even though all tires were at 32 psi. when i had my tire replaced and put it back on, the light when off.

i couldn't find anything in the manual. it just said to see the dealer. you would think there would be an easy reset for it.

You should to go and see the dealer about this one, since the sensor is actually inside the wheel. It would be a pain to take the each of the wheels off to find which sensor was the culprit and then take the tire off the wheel only to find out that it was something you couldn't fix.

If you wanted to do it yourself you could take each wheel off and take it a certain distance from the vehicle, 20 feet would work I think. The sensor would then be out of range, since it just uses a simple radio device to broadcast a problem. You could then discover which tire was the problem when the light went off. Just easier to go to the dealer.

When I first picked up the truck from the dealer the light was on, but they were able to fix it in about a half hour. (Nice electrical inspection prior to delivery, huh?)

Thanks Sabony good idea on taking the tires off. I'm on a road trip right now if I get a chance I will stop by a dealership....

I don't think that will work as the light comes on if you remove the spare and don't keep it on the vehicle, thus removing tires and walking away with them would only make the light stay on, not go off.

Our Toyota has a reset button on the dash for the tire pressure sensors. Try that first.

Try checking your air pressure in all your tires again with another gauge.

Take it to the dealer. Something like that on a new car is under warranty.

No a big fan of this option. Mine light was on this morning on my way to work. I think it's because the temp droped below 70' for the 1st time since April. Just one more thing to worry about.
