Thanks for the link to the pics. I'll send the ARB rep a copy of the bumper on the 4Runner and ask again when they will be available. I'll let ya know what they have to say.

Here is an excerpt from my inquiry today:
I saw the attached pictures from the 2005 SEMA show of an ARB bumper on a 4th Gen Toyota 4Runner. :-) It looks like you may be making some progress toward the marketing release? What's the latest status on your bumper availability? Thanks.
Regards,
Brad Garland

RE: Enquiry from ARB Web ...Status on Bumper for 2004 Toyota 4Runner?
I'm flying later today to L.A. for meetings with Toyota. We have still not received any of the data we need from them.

My reply:
Drat! Well slap them around for us. We have at least 48 people here waiting for the 4Runner bumper. Thanks for the update.

Latest info:
"As it stands right now, we have a prototype bar on a 4Runner and that's about it. I've heard nothing more on the 4Runner bumper front so I would say it is at the earliest 6 mos away. We would love to have it made, but we have heard no further information on this project."
If you can continually email them for this bumper, there may be hope. Please email Tim Lund directly @ tlund@arbusa.com
He is awaiting your emails!
The interesting thing is that they will have a bumper for the FJC before the 4runner. Not sure what the deal with that is considering only 40k will be made the first year and we have well over 200k on the road... dunno their logic but keep on emailing them regularly... Give them your 2 cents so they know.
Lets not forget that they already have an ARB bumper for the new pathfinder and the lr3.
Go get em!

Here's the official word from ARB this morning regarding the FJ Cruiser bumper:
"The prototype FJ Cruiser bullbar should be arriving in the USA by end of next week and will be trial fitted within a week after receipt of the prototype bar. Once we have verified fitment, yes or no, we will be able to advise on production and delivery schedules."

ARB will be developing this bumper for the 4runner. It will be the first ever 4runner bumper that ARB is producting. An Australian engineer was flown to th states to get measurements based on the SEMA 4runner and once he returns production should begin. More news to come!
Thanks again for everyones help on getting this ball rolling

Not trying to doubt anyone, but has anyone recieved an official correspondence that the 4Runner bar is going ahead? Can you please post it here?
I am confused why there seems to be only second and third party comment about the project going ahead and emails to Tim Lund seem to be falling on deaf ears recently trying to confirm the statements being made.
Please correct me if I am wrong, but where is the official word (quotes) from ARB (either USA or Oz)?
Here is the most recent comment I have from Tim which I recieved via email a little less than two weeks ago
"...OH and spread the word that if anyone is getting a response for anyone other than me, you cannot take it as accurate."

Mark,
An Oz engineer was out all last week with Tim in LA to take measurements on the ARB 4runner from SEMA. We should hear something once they return to their respective offices.

BTW anybody heard from ARB, I have not heard a peep from them. I haven't had time to call, but have had zero response to numerous emails to Tim and the general email box since last week. Maybe they block my email from all the emails I have send them

Well Tim finally got back to me, seems like they are extremely busy over at ARB. And the news is not good at this point. The bumper IS NOT officially approved for development at this point in time, no timeframe was given either. He stated that they have done a lot of pre-production work, but that is were they are.

What's happening around production of ARB Front Bumper for the 4th Gen.? I've read in some forums (don't remember which one: Yotatech, toyota120 or toyota-4runner) that the final presale bumper is ready and has been shipped to US from Australia for final fit testing, and as soon as they will get confirmation of exact fitting, ARB will start production. I've sent a few emails to ARM-USA for the past month and didn't get any respond. Does someone have any up-to-date information regarding this bumper?
