06 4Runner Sport Suspension - TRD?

I've got a 2006 4Runner sport V6, 4x4, 115k miles, and it's got the infamous raked out look to it where the front is about 2" lower than the back. It drives me crazy.

I came across a used TRD suspension package from an 06 Tacoma V6 4x4 on craigslist with 4 Bilstein shocks and stock front coils for $60. I'm thinking of picking that up and swapping it out with what I have, in hopes that the raked look will be gone. I don't know a lot about the XREAS suspension system, but it sounds like this will eliminate that and all of the piping/etc that goes between the shock absorbers.

Is this worth my time, or should I keep saving and get a better setup? It's my wife's car, but we use it for camping, and I'm frustrated at the ground clearance compared with my 2nd Gen 4R. If it were my daily car, I'd lift it a few inches, but since it's hers, I want to keep it close to stock (kids still have to climb in it).

Thanks for the help.

yeah that should level it, haven't seen anyone use the Taco coils, only FJ cruiser coils. I believe the Taco coils will lift a small amount more than the FJ coils do, but since most people running FJ coils also use a 1/4-1/2" spacer (which provides ~1/2"-1" more lift") you should be fine.

I don't think the rear shocks will fit the 4runner but it still sounds like a good deal.

Please post the results.

edit- Sorry I didn't fully read your post; actually you probably won't be able to use the front shocks either since you have XREAS and can't just swap two shocks. But the coils alone should level it since the shocks don't provide any lift.

There's some pics of mine with the FJ coils and 1/4" spacer in the first few pages of this thread - my build. Taco coils *should* make up for the 1/4" spacer

These are the only ones I know who are using the Tacoma springs. The front should be able to swap, but the rear will not based on the specs I've seen. As mentioned, if you wanted to use the shocks, you'd need to buy something else for the rear, you can't replace only the fronts.
