Yakima or similar rack on Xtra-Cab

Has anyone here installed a Yakima rack (Q-towers, Q-Clips) or similar on an Xtra-Cab? I am wanting to know where on the cab the Q-towers attach. If they both attach above the door, that would put the crossbars awefully close together. I am hoping there is a better way...rear window maybe?

when i had a rack on my 94 extended cab nissan, i used a spreader mount from yakima. It attaches to the front bar and holds the feet for the rear bar in place. It worked 10x better than having both bars on the doors, which is how i started. Used the rack to hold a load-warrior basket and tire, never had an issue with it.
