which wiring harness should i use??

I have an 89 p/u that i am putting a 3vz from a 94 4runner into which wiring harness should I use?

Are there any differences besides the tensioner and fan bracket?

When I got my rebiuld kit there was a difference in price from 88/92 to 93/95

they are both 4wd

Thanks, Drew

You will probably need to use the harness that matches the ECU. If you are using the 89 ECU you will need to use the 89 engine harness and most likely the 89 sensors too. Toyota made changes to the ECU pinouts over the years, in some cases the engine harness will still plug in to the ECU but will actually be wired WRONG.

I kind of doubt it, as long as you use the 89 harness, 89 ECU, and all the 89 sensors. In other words, just swap the 94 block and heads in.

Does your truck and the donor truck both have oil pressure gauges? If not, you better keep the oil pressure sender from the original engine. It should just screw in place of the 94 sender.

That's fine, just get one that matches your gauge, if you have one. Some trucks have gauges and some have idiot lights and the senders are different.
