why does my 4runner sputter in low rpm

hard starting and sputtering in low rpm.. changed the plugs to bosch plat. problem solved for 3 weeks now its happening again and the plugs def look used.. gonna use the ngk plugs and do an oil change.. i just seafoamed...., engine was rebuilt 2 years ago.


the fuel filter i have but it looks like a really hard spot to get at with my stubby finger.

that may be the reason... these engines dont seem to like platinum too much... try going to a lighter grade of oil if using something heavy, and check your fuel pressure. maybe your fuel pump is going out

how would i check the fuel pressure??? do i need a gauge??? i also have a parts truck that was running great when i was side swiped by 2 deer..would it be easier to change the whole tank or is the fuel pump not in the tank on these trucks?

is there a service port on the fuel rail? if so check the pressure of it.

yeah there is probably a port... but what kind of a gauge?? just a normal air gauge or is there a fuel gauge?
