I never said the tires were 12.50. Actually, in my first post I said they were 10.50. If you look at the link I posted that's the guy here on YT.
As far as what happens when the wheel is turned during flexing? It will probably rub (That guy said it didn't, but who knows) but that's what these are for.
And here's the link to the UY thread

Try flexing out with 31's not much more happens and he never said he was going to do more than drive it on the street.
If he does wheel it and breaks , so what? That's part of the sport. An extra drag link, a spare cv, and maybe an idler arm and he would be good.
Don't get me wrong I like SAS'ed rigs and would like to swap mine but not until I wheel the piss out of the IFS. I just get tired of the "You gotta do this before you can do that" bull.
And, actually I think it looks pretty good.

Bigger is not always better, 2" BL, 2" susp lift, 33's and a locker or 2 makes for a pretty capable truck.
Id rather have smaller tires and be able to use the skinny pedal without breaking crap left right and center.
IMO stick with some 33's, you'll be glad you did.

No, I haven't wheeled a stock runner with 35's and don't plan to. I also wasn't saying that doing so wouldn't come with a price. I listed some of the consequences that can come with 35's and stock IFS: ie. broken steering components, cv's, and hell maybe a R&P.
I agree with you about sticking with 33's on the stock suspension while adding a locker and armor. That's my plan. I was just trying to show that you can get them to fit with minimal lift and with out SAS.
Besides, we don't even know the OP's intentions for his truck.

I have had Two First gen 4Runner. Of course everyone has a preference but here is my experience. I had IFS on an stock 89 4Runner with only the torsion bars turned up to clear 31X12.50 Thornbirds with no lift and they still rubbed on sharp turns and took the chrome lip off the fender wells in harsh suspension leveraging situations. The 86 4Runner I now have, also with IFS, has 33x12.50 BFG TA's, only a 4 inch suspension lift, and still rubs and has touched the front and rear fender wells too many times. Now as a result in a hairy situation the passenger side front fender is slightly bent. I have 4:88 gears and still can not push more than 70mph on level ground with the 33" tires. So, IMO, I would personally not recommend using a larger tire than a 33" unless you are gearing it and have at least a 4" suspension lift, and body lift. Hope that helps buddy
