Unknown Port or Connector on 91 4Runner. Help?
I have a weird connection or port beneath my my steering column.
I've googled and searched this forum for anything related. But I couldn't find anything close.
Can anyone tell me what it's for ? Or what it does?

That's an aftermarket antitheft device that is usually installed at dealer or car lot. It usually ties into the power from the ignition switch to the starter. Its missing the flat chip key so my guess is it has been disabled. Unless your vehicle is not starting.

The anti theft flat chip key sounds probable.
Now that you mention it I remember seeing similar connections in other vehicles with the chip key.
My car works just fine.
I'm guessing it was disabled.
I'll test the wires sometime this week.
Might be really easy to convert it into a kill switch.
Thank you all for the help.

Actually looking at the picture again it looks like the key(white piece) might be broken off in the connector. It only has to do with starting the vehicle and wont cause it to run bad. It basically just keeps power from going from the ignition switch to the starter solenoid when the key is turned to the start position.
