Two-tone spray paint on 2nd Gen 4Runner?
Hello,
Last weekend I smashed the driver's side rear door and rear panel in a snow trail:
I've been quoted by some repair shops and some of them say they must change the door panel and the rear one (Cutting and welding a new one) and others say they can repair them with hammer and tool work...
Replacing the panels it's a lot expensive, but I'm afraid of repairing the truck without replacing them and the result don't being perfect... What do you recommend?
Another thing and the subject of this thread... Dou you have some pics of 2nd Gens painted in two tones?
We're building custom front winch and rear bumpers, so I'd have to paint them.
I was thinking of painting the new bumpers, the fender flares and the lower part of the doors (European 4Runners have a plastic molding, from it to bottom of the door) in gray metallic color and leave the rest the stock dark blue color...
What do you think?
Somebody can photoshop a pic for me? I don't know how to make the blue parts look gray... (It's an old pic I've found in the work PC)
The original pic is located here

Nop... My insurance is for others affected by me, don't know how it is named in English, only covers my glasses, fire or steal.
A friend of mine has been photoshopping a little...
He says he prefers rattle can black fender flares and bumpers, then silver half the truck:
I'd like to have a similar scheme to the Hilux Surfs:
I'll post new pics if he makes some new.
