Yeah, I actually just took out the #1 plug and put my thumb over it. Then, when I would crank it over by hand, and when the compression stroke came and it was at top dead center I would align the distributor to #1.

Sorry for the rude comment. I do realize that I am a BIG idiot and I apologize for the rude comment. I was pissed at my truck and took it out on my fellow Toyota enthusiasts...sorry

you're lucky to get even any help with that kind of attitude.... I woulda told you to check the sensor in you rear quater panel that controls the firing order and needs to be reset.. LOL

Everyone here is just trying to help you since you're freaking out about it. You should be a bit gracious. Alot of other sites like this wouldnt have as nice people and most would probably tell you to go to hell
