tps switchup?

tps switchup?
I just bought a '90 22re pickup. I've been having some tps issues: i went through the adjustment procedure, got it reading the correct ohms, I would tighten the screws, check it again, fine, come back an hour later and it would be out of spec. so I ordered a new one, denso, from 22re performance, which he matched to my vin. I went to put it on today, and wala! the dog ears coming from the throttle body are 90 degrees off! clearly this is not the original throttle body or engine. and it's friday, and i'd like to get 'er rolling before i can return/exchange this part. my question is, can I reposition the drive sprocket on the TB 90 degrees to match this tps? and if so, will this be compatible with the ecu?

In my experience, the physical mismatch is telling you something. Don't even try it. It won't work, and you can't make it work. Most likely they aren't even electronically compatible. So messing with the throttle body to make it fit will probably get you nowhere. They're trying to prevent you from doing something stupid.
