TPS setting blues
ok so way back when trying to figure out the miss in runner I checked the tps and I didn't think it was right. so I tried to adjust it and still didn't get readings that were what the fsm says
so after i found bad valve and since I have the hat off I figured to do it on bench I messed a bit with it but couldn't get a steady reading so I ordereda new tps figured I get new and set it up on bench
well new one got here today and it seems to do the same thing
what i get when I hook up the ohm meter to it is a non steady scale of any thing
my meter is digital and I tried a ew diffrent scales just looking for a number that I could adjust .
I was set up with 020 and trying to do the IDL-e2 test
and never found a scale really
help please

Ok maybe I'm trying to get a number when I don't need one it says 2.3 or less no resistance is less
So maybe I should be looking for the total closed and full open

If you are using a digital multimeter, set for ohms, and touch the two prongs together, that will display "No Resistance" (should be close to or exactly 0), and from this you can fine tune the meter to zero. When testing and it is jumping all around with random numbers, that is infinity. Verify your meter, then try again.

ok will this work
0in. vta-e2 .47-6.1 result=.73
.020in. idl-e2 2.3k or les result .01
.031 idl-e2 infinity result = OL
throttle valve full open vta-e2 3.1-12.1k result= 4.46
or do I really need to hit the 2.3 in the idl-e2 with .020
