stuck questions
ok, so me and my buddy went on a wheelin trip tonight and both of us got stuck bad, my truck is halfway in a 5 ft wide, 1 foot deep crick cuz its a 4 wheeler path and they built a bridge and it must've collapsed cuz i'm stuck between one of the support logs and a bank, and i was wondering how i could get myself out without using a really big truck... i've tried to put rocks and wood under the tires to get some sort of traction, i've tried using two logs to pry up on my truck frame to maybe get it up on the one log, we tried using my buddys truck to pull me out but in the process he slipped into a muddy rut and is also stuck... our trucks are out there for the night till we can either find a clever way to get unstuck or get someone with a really big truck...
oh, would airing down the tires help at all?

Sorry to hear. I guess you are not locked huh? Go buy a come along at tractor supply.
St MAry's huh. LOL
My wife is from St. Mary's. We go back for the holidays. I've been meaning to bring my truck so I can do a little wheeling. I've seen a few toys out there. Is yours the one with the big yellow"JEGS" sticker on the back window?
I will PM you next time were out that way. I would love to learn the trails out there.
Good luck with your truck stuck situation.

maybe time to invest in a hi-lift jack with the winch kit. i swear you could uproot an old growth tree doing this, slowly but surely. you can get a decent hi-lift for around $70 and the winch kit is about $25 i think... get some rope and some chain and you're set. a hilift winch will outpull a comealong anyday, but both will probably help in your situation.

come-along and/or a hi-lift, airing down the tires will help once you get the truck moving a little bit. i would just air them down before you start anything so you dont forget. 10-14 psi is usually good depending on your tire size. and TAKE PICTURES!

I've always been lucky with a a shovel, but its not going to be useful if you're on wood. A HiLift jack would be a huge asset as well. Sounds like a come-along would be best, and they aren't expensive, maybe you could borrow it.

i personally vote for the high lift. i've gotten every vehicle me or my friends got stuck, unstuck with one. even when my dads duramax couldn't pull my xj out, the high lift did. also i might add an axe. just jack up one side put logs/rocks/anything under your tires then repeat on the other side and drive out. or use it with the winch kit like gobbluth said.

we had a high lift, a construction grade come along, and a chain saw... we finally got them out, we called for a 3/4 GMC utility truck but ended up getting that stuck, so we called for a 1 ton dodge diesel, that got the gmc and the bronco out, then that got stuck tryin to pull me out, so we just gave up and went and borrowed a skidder. its good havin logger friends haha... oh, and for the pics, they'll be up if not tonight, then tomorrow
