started but died, now wont start back up
ok, 93 v6 3.0 auto 4runner.
went out and started it up to warm it up(it was cold out, in the 10's and 20's), went inside, came back out and it had died, smelled funny in the cabin like something burned, wouldnt start back up ever since. turns over, and sometimes sounds like its about to, but just wont.
-changed the plugs.
-checked the distributer cap and rotor, working fine.
-connected terminals b+ and F sumthin or other and heard the fuel pump.
-took the fuel hose off right after the filter and leaked quite a bit so im assuming its getting fuel.
also, theres a tapping noise coming from the air filter. opened it up and it looks like its just the metal flap but i dont remember hearing that before when the truck ran.
any advice? a checklist maybe?
