those tank hangers are going to be expensive.
you could find one at a junkyard, but use a new pump. $100 for a pump is fair.
if the hanger is only $140 from toyota, i'd buy that rather than a junkyard part.

Could you post a picture of the clip that gave you so much trouble, and maybe a little how you solved it. It could help someone else in the future. Did you diagnose the pump, was it sticky. jammed and/or burnt out?
Link, this is one way to avoid the dealer. There are lots of examples of repairing, rebuilding, and converting these to std fittings. Most of which save money in the end, are more sturdy and easier to fix with available parts.
Those hangers should be listed as consumable items, lol maybe sprayed with the undercoat like the rest. Sorry you couldn't get it loose intact. If you haven't already reassembled consider adding the access panel under the rear seat while it is out, Link.

I do have a cordless, but I'll be darned if I'm going to put another fp in there that's been sitting in a yard somewhere. Fix it once, fix it right. Parts are on order, should have them next thurs.
Remember, the whole reason I'm getting it running again is b/c wifey sold her F150 and now we are down to 2 vehicles including the yota. It's gotta be reliable. It sux not having a vehicle. I've got places to go and am stranded now because wifey has my awesome '12 F350.
I suppose I'd have been happy w/ the $90 boshe pump, if I had not mangled the bracket. Let this be a lesson to others in this boat, this forced me to deal with Toyota on this item and even discounted the Toy FP is $240, another 140 for the bracket and ten for the filter. Whew.

Then I have to teach wifey to drive a stick before I can get my F350 back - not looking forward to that either.

toyotaonlineparts.com, nix99's website is bad, got past that, I'm in SC, that's a long ways by freight and I was never able to reach them.

The plug for the sending unit, I wiggled, squeezed, pried, forced and finally it popped off. Doesn't look damaged, but it was really a sob to get off.

Creating an access panel is a good idea. I'd done that on my wife's 4rnr after finally getting a good pump in. I'd had enough of dropping the friggin' tank. Sadistic of Toyota to stop doing that after the 1st gen's of 4rnr's.

Shortcut to the end of diagnosis. There's a plug along the top of the frame in front of the rear tire. Unplug it. Jumper B+ and Fp. Turn the key on. Test that plug w/ a test light or a multimeter.
If you are getting 12v there, it's the fuel pump.
If you are NOT getting 12v, you've probably got a busted wire.
If you are getting 12v there, it's the fuel pump.

Got it done today, fired right up and loaped like a leopard. (My truck doesn't purr w/ these cams).

Did a bunch of other jobs on it too, then started teaching wifey how to drive stick. bad idea.
Stopped at O'rileys and spent near $300 on fluids and misc stuff, only the best for the old girl...who's 23 years old this year. Young for a hot chick, but a bit old for a truck.
I miss power mirrors, heated seats, remote start, oh, brother, I want my 350 back.
